Why Smoking Is Something You Should Quit As Soon As Possible
Smoking is something that everyone knows is bad, but a lot of people just don't know what to do to quit. If quitting smoking has been on your to-do list for some time, then you should give this article a read. Here you'll find out how smoking affects your health and what you can do about it.

Smoking can cause cancer. There are a lot of chemicals in smoking that can lead to nose, throat, lung, and mouth cancer. All of these types of cancer can lead to death. It even says that smoking can cause all kinds of cancers on your pack of cigarettes.

Look up yourself what people look like when they're dying of smoking related diseases. It's not pretty and generally involves you dying hooked up to a bunch of machines. The only way to avoid this is to quit as soon as possible. It may sound grim, but hopefully that shocks you into taking this a little more seriously.
You'll notice that the longer you smoke, the less you can do physically. This is because smoking impacts your lungs so much that it reduces how much oxygen goes into your blood stream by up to half. This means you're only able to do half of the activities that you used to be able to do in some cases. If you want to get into shape while you smoke, you're going to have to take double the time to get the right amount of exercise in.

Smoking makes your teeth yellow and makes you smell terrible too. While you may be able to whiten your teeth, after a while smoking is going to make your teeth more brittle and prone to cavities.

The smell may not bother you because you're used to it, but to nonsmokers you're going to smell like a giant ashtray every time you're around. You can try to mask this smell with perfumes or colognes, but it's not going to go away. You can still smell the smoke on top of all of those things, which makes it smell worse most of the time.

There have been studies done that have shown that people who inhale second hand smoke are at risk for smoking related diseases. This means if you're smoking around family members that don't smoke, you're at risk for making them ill.

You also need to think about what your family would think if you were to die from smoking. Think of all the people that would have to take care of you when you get sick from smoking, and how bad they would feel seeing you that sick. Don't just quit for yourself, know that you're quitting for others as well.

There are still more reasons to quit but these are the main ones. Do not allow your life to revolve around when you're going to smoke your next cigarette any longer. Break this tough addiction and take your life back from this day forward!
